Director Jezebelle is a multidisciplinary artist and local snail aficionado. Since finding snails while getting sober in 2020, the gastropod has repeating themes through Jezebelle's work. Drawing from queer culture, BDSM aesthetics, internet absurdism, body horror, and biological fact, these paintings ask viewers to reconsider where beauty ends and discomfort begins. If you laugh before you cringe, or even cringe before you laugh, you've arrived exactly where they hoped you would.
